Hero — an agent for your machine

You sat down to do one thing and looked up an hour later.

Hero runs on your computer. It sits at the moment you open something and asks one line: what are you here for. Three words, then it lets you in.

01
The gap

Every app is built to answer one question: what will hold this person right now.

None of them ask what you came to do. So the answer goes unrecorded, and the distance between the two is the one thing you never see.

Everyone has that gap. Nobody measures it.

02
How it works

  1. Step 01

    You open something.

A tab, an app, a feed. Hero catches it before it loads.

  2. Step 02

    Hero asks one line.

What are you here for. You answer in three words.

  3. Step 03

    It opens.

Always. Hero has no veto and no timer. It is a door that asks, not a lock.

What accumulates

A private record of what you said, next to what happened.

One answer is a note. Six months of answers is an instrument. Each session is a column: the blue is the minutes you intended, the light field above it is the minutes you spent.

Nobody is graded. The record is yours to read, and reading it is usually enough.

04
Local and private

The record stays on your machine.

Your intentions are the most direct statement of what you want that you will ever write down. That is exactly why we do not hold them.

Stored locally

Answers and sessions are written to disk on your computer and encrypted at rest.

No account required

Hero works without a login. Nothing is uploaded for the product to function.

Y3000 is infrastructure

We build the instrument. We are never the owner of what it records.

Later, Hero will be able to pass an answer to the tools you already use, if you ask it to.
